The Adopt-A-Highway volunteers held their 26th annual Nebraska Trash-Off April 1st thru April 30th, 2016.  In conjunction with this, the Rotary Club of Burwell held its annual trash pickup on May 3rd. The project date had been delayed due to the recent rains in the area.  The Club has adopted a two mile section of Highway 91 west of Burwell.  The Rotary members joined other volunteers in a statewide cleaning event in kekeping Nebraska roadsides clean and litter free.  

The Burwell Rotary Club was established in 1998.  The Club meets every Tuesday at 12: PM for a lunch meeting at the Burwell Legion club – and guests are always welcome.
