1st Annual “Row Across Big Mac” at Lake McConaughy Hosted by The Rotary Club of Ogallala and all West Central Nebraska Rotary Clubs
No Registration Fee, this is a Fund Raiser to benefit Katie Spotz & her H2O for Life! Safe Water Non-Profit Campaign
Our Goal is for everyone to raise $30.00 ($10.00 per mile) or more in Pledges for Rowing 3 miles across Big Mac
Katie rowed 3,000 miles solo across the Atlantic Ocean to raise awareness for this cause
All Entries will receive 1 “1st Annual Row Across Big Mac” T-shirt per person per boat with $30.00 in Pledges each
You must Preregister and commit to at least $30.00 per person to receive T-shirts the day of the event
There will be awards & recognition for those who raise the most money!
Check In/Registration will be between 9:00 & 10:00 am Saturday November 7th 2015
BYOB “Bring Your Own Boat” Canoe, Kayak or anything you may have powered by humans & oars
For those of you that don’t have a boat we will have 10 to 20 Kayaks available from Scott Eveland of the Nebraska Game & Parks for your use
1st boats depart at 10:00am, launches continue depending on the availability of boats, 1st come 1st serve
Launch will be from the Boat Ramp @ Kingsley Bay with calm wind or a breeze out of the south, Martin Bay if there is a breeze out of the north & Lake Ogallala below the dam if it’s too windy for the Big Lake.
Pool Party at the Goodall Rec Center if its stormy…this is a Fund Raiser, it will happen Rain Snow or Shine!
