2022 Big Red Blowout Winners

Year 14 is officially on the books.  Although not our biggest year ever, it was  certainly nothing to scoff at.

Thank you to every member and club that participated in selling their Big Red Blowout tickets.  Some members exceeded all expectations, some clubs embraced the project and overall success was achieved again.

So how much success?  I’m glad you asked.  Check out these figures.  4,039 tickets were sold for a gross total of $40,390.00.  This total, added to all previous years’ sales, brings our district’s gross total to $674,134.00.  That’s approaching three quarters of a million dollars!  These dollars have provided for member cash contributions to The Rotary Foundation, District Grant funding through Annual Fund contributions, but have mostly kept our Rotary district dues consistent for 15 years, even through times when Rotary dues increased.

Some additional important contributions came from 4 RYLA campers who sold a combined $980.  One individual camper accounted for $800 herself.  Congratulations to Emma Klahn (Grant) whose efforts will provide a fully paid scholarship for a student to attend RYLA camp in 2023!

A very special “Thank You” to Paul Stec for his vision 14 years ago, and his steadfast commitment to this annual labor of love.  And a sincere “Thank You” to Tiffany Ritchie for her dedication and hours of work shepherding this project again in 2022.  This project would not have been accomplished without both your efforts and dedication to service in District 5630.
