Big Red Blowout Scores Another Successful Run

Riders of the 2013 Rotary Big Red Blowout bus traveled to the Nebraska v. South Dakota State football game in Lincoln September 21.

Big Red Blowout 2013 was another success!! A few pictures of the winners en-joying the day. The day started early in North Platte picking up our first win-ners and the rest along the way. We participated in the HuskerMax Tailgate party, than off to the game. We enjoyed the WIN, and then it was time to cele-brate at Chances R in York. What a meal. Than in was the quiet bus ride home. The day was enjoyed by all!

Not all of the winners were on the bus. The REAL WINNERS are the Rotarians that sold the tickets! This project raised $42,000 to help others and to touch their lives. There are many people to thank that made this project a success but I’m only naming four, as always it starts with the District Governor, Duane Tappe as it has in the past. The other person is Beth Lobner, my detail person. She had big shoes to fill this year without Sharon Hoffman. And the most im-portant people are those who sold the tickets and the people that bought them.

I would also like to THANK the people that secured game tickets: James Frie-sen from Town & Country Bank, Connie Francis, Steve Brodine from Kent Schroder, Rand Peterson from Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Assoc., Frank Sibert, Dale Eatinger from First Bank & Trust Cozad and Bob Phares.

Thank YOU for all you do for Rotary!
