Kearney Rotary Clubs celebrate 100 years

The Kearney Rotary Club was chartered in 1918. There were 15 charter members of the club – leading business and professional men of Kearney. According to historian Albert B. Tollefsen: “I have had the pleasure and advantage of having known all these men and close association with them all. To me this has meant the ultimate in high ideals, sturdiness and manhood. I wish to pay tribute to them as pioneers in Rotary in this community, to the betterment of this community in many ways and to better living.”

You can find more about the charter members at the Kearney Rotary Centennial Facebook page.
