During the COVID-19 pandemic through our partnership with Hot Meals USA, and the dedicated manpower of Rotary members, more than a million meals were served and hundreds of thousands of Farm to Family fresh food boxes were delivered.

Together, We

Transform

As Rotarians we understand the need to protect and conserve our environment.  This means we adapt, modify and transform.

Past District Governor Deb McCaslin joins Joe and Kelly Kirk on their weekly radio program focused on Rotary service! PDG Deb shares her passion for a project, “Girl’s Empowerment in Zimbabwe”, that you can help with. DG Dian Edwards’ Message to District 5630

DG Dian Edwards’ Message to District 5630

The most sincere message I can deliver to every District 5630 Rotarian is one of gratitude for all you do to provide service above self in your community and throughout the world. You and your contributions of time, talent, and treasure prepare the way to “Peace through Service.”

The Rotary year ahead of us will be a year of transition to encourage our district and clubs to participate more fully in six primary service areas:

  • Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Water and Sanitation
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Economic and Community Development.

We will provide clubs with the tools and resources they will need to embrace these new program opportunities. Under the leadership of PDG Dave Snow, we will continue to assist our clubs with strategic planning through “visioning” workshops. We will implement a new initiative through the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) that will educate club representatives about Rotary and the many program opportunities and services available through our Rotary organization. Clubs that participate in these programs will be well equipped to meet eligibility requirements for the RI Presidential Citation and Governor’s Citation.

DG Ron Bazata’s Message to District 5630

When my wife, Mindy and I applied to participate in a Friendship Exchange with Australia, we did not realize how the two-week adventure would change our lives. I had been a member of the Kearney Noon club since 1982 and club President in 1986-1987. The extent of my involvement had been to help with our club fund raiser, Travelogue.

After that trip, I started to realize that there was much more to Rotary outside our Kearney Noon Rotary club. Soon after that trip, the District sent emails asking for applicants for District Governor for the 2011-2012 year. We decided that although I had no district experience, that I would apply and two-and-a-half years later, here I am. I have spent countless hours already traveling to many training meetings and talking on the phone learning the ropes in preparation for my year.
